This is a nice product. I would add these details: the rod is supposed to be installed 65" above your tub and 5" to 8" back from the edge of the tub (toward the wall of the tub). My tub enclosure did not allow this but it worked out okay. The brackets that the rod attach to are 3 1/2" high, again my wall above the tub area did not have enough room. Over all mine installed about 6 inches lower and 2 inches out from where it should be. Like I say, it is okay but it would be better if I could have installed it where they called for. If your shower enclosure area has any restrictions consider this. Also, it really sticks out into the room quite a bit. If you have a narrow bathroom I think this would be a problem. My room is 8' by 8' and it is fine, and again mine is sticking out about 2" father than is called for, but in my old house I had a 50's style ranch with a narrow gally style bathroom and this would not have worked in there. It's not the fault of this particular rod, just any curved rod. I do like the room it gives you in the shower. The inside plastic curtain still hangs down with plenty of coverage to keep water in and it lets in a lot more light.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! (jojo67, , 2008-07-19)

we absolutely LOVE this curved shower rod set. we just spent a few thousand dollars remodeling our main bathroom. everything was changed from top to bottom!! And this is the FIRST thing EVERYone comments on is this shower rod!! it is very attractive. and was a nice surprise to receive the vinyl liner along with the rod and also the hooks. so you really get a lot with this offer. we just can't get over how much extra space there is now in the shower. and the shower curtain isn't rubbing up against you. our neighbor came over to see our "new" bathroom, and of course, the curtain rod was the first thing she commented on. she had her baby with her. and she asked if she could step in our tub and close the curtain to see what it "felt" like. so she takes her baby with her and stands in the tub with the curtain drawn!! she was amazed at the amount of room they had. we thought that was hilarious! (nothing like really "trying out" a product before you get it!!). anyway, if you are wondering whether to get it or not....GET IT!! you won't be sorry. wish i could rate it more than FIVE stars. i would give it TEN if i could!! :-)

Super Item (txgwennie, Hitchcock, TX, 2008-08-09)

After a weary and long bathroom remodel, my husband and I hung the rod last night and all I can say is WOW! Wish I could post pictures, the difference this makes in the bath is amazing. I was concerned with the installation as I have a tub/shower combination unit and a vinyl surround that goes up to the ceiling. Not a problem, instructions are very clear with drawings that even us laymen could understand. Only thing not mentioned was what size the sheetrock screws were, so wasn't quite sure what size drill bit to use. We started small with 1/4" drill bit and moved up to 7/16 which was perfect. Follow the directions exactly and you should have no problems!! This is well made, not the cheap flimsy material. It anchors very tight in the sheetrock as of course we did not hit a stud. Overstock has once again provided a superb quality product. Read the reviews on items, I did on this and they were on the money!! Very quick shipping!!

Wonderful addition to the Guest Bath (wisteria1234555, MD, 2008-05-28)

I've gotten raves from our guests, who love the extra space in the tub/shower. IMHO, the instructions were overly detailed, so I assembled the entire "kit" first and placed the curtain exactly where/how I wanted it to hang. With a friend's help, I placed the end-caps onto the walls, marked drilling holes with a pencil and double-checked placement with a locking tape measure. A power screwdriver and drill (glad I have a good drill bit set) helped immensely. Warning: if you place the rod so the overhang extends a ways outward from the edge of the tub, then your bathroom will look smaller when the shower curtain is drawn. I have windows in my guest bath, but if you don't, it might feel claustrophobic.

I can now shower! (NoLongerDirty, Chicago, IL, 2008-07-17)

- Looks very nice (purchased chrome) - Decent quality (metal not too thin) - Easy to install (take your time measuring) - There are a few "leveling" screws that make, well, leveling the bar easy. - Sturdy (it doesn't seem to wobble when manhandling it, not that I will do pull ups on it) - Shower curtain is a cheap plastic one, but that's not why I bought the rod. - Curtain rings decent (they are the metal roller type) again, not why I bought the rod. - Install instructions were pretty easy to understand... it is a shower rod after all, pretty self explanatory. I installed by myself, although a second set of hands would have be useful. If I had another tub shower I would buy this one again.
