College Graduation Gift (kmkWI, Wisconsin, 2008-06-10)

I bought this necklace as a gift for my daughter who graduated from college. She loved it, and started talking about all the outfits it would go with. Although I'm a guy, I see these chocolate pearls as being very versatile. They will go with dress and classy, as well as casual. I do need to say that my 18 year old daughter who saw these get opened and passed around the table quite quickly said "I would love some too!" These pearls were a complete hit with my 22 year old daughter. Although I'm not the one judging their daily workmanship, I do know that they seemed nicely put together, and the clasp seemed strong as I looked them over before wrapping. As a late 40-something dad, I picked these out on my own, and everyone was so impressed that I shopped, and picked something that was such a hit. The customer reviews helped me in this process. Now I need to buy a similar gift for my wife and 18 yr old daughter.

The chocolate pearl necklace is beautiful, exactly as shown in the picture. It lays perfectly on the neck and is practically weighless (no heaviness or pulling on the back of the neck). It is a little shorter than I wanted, however, the necklace was clearly marked 18 inches so I knew what I was purchasing. The pearls catch the light and reflect shades from reddish gold to medium brown. The only drawback to me was that the clasp is a little difficult to fasten and unfasten, which is why I gave the necklace 4 stars for workmanship rather than 5. I would definitely recommend this necklace to anyone looking for a little glamour.

I got this for a young lady that I am courting for Valentine's Day. She loved them! I thought the coloring was unique so it made a great gift. I had never seen chocolate pearls before. It goes well with many outfits. I am not much of a pearl expert having never purchased any before, but I did think that the picture looked a little better than the product. I did expect each pearl to vary in shape and coloring slightly so that was not a problem when I actually saw them. What really mattered is that she loved it. I would still recommend the item and I give it 4 stars all around.

Beautiful Chocolate Pearl Necklace (Bearledge, Northcentral, PA, 2008-01-16)

I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of this chocolate pearl necklace that I purchased for a gift. It was so much nicer than the one I already owned. The pearls were a nice round shape with a chocolate/gold luster. They were a very nice size measuring 7.0-7.5 mm with a 14K gold, sturdy clasp. My friend loved them and I want a strand for myself! They arrived in a cloth pouch inside a box making the presentation very nice, as well. I did an extensive search for this necklace and was very pleased with this entire transaction.

14-kt Gold Cultured Freshwater Chocolate Pearl Nec (Bronto, Jacksonville FL, 2008-05-30)

We were very pleased with the purchase. The necklace looked just like the picture and better than some more expensive ones I saw in stores. I was leery of buying jewelry sight unseen but this was a positive experience. The order arrived a few days before the expected date. The bubble wrap envelope seemed a bit flimsy but there was no damage. I think more reinforcement is needed for shipping. The next time I want to buy jewelry for my wife I will certainly check with Overstock.
