DO NOT hesitate to purchase these earrings! We bought them for both our daughters for Christmas, along with the Akoya Cultured Pearl Strands (6.5-7mm/18in) and they are wonderful! We did alot of research both online and in jewelery stores before we purchased through Overstock. These pearls are better than described, and I'm sure will appraise at the value stated. They are every bit as beautiful as the $800 strand we were shown at the jewelery store, and through Overstock we bought two necklaces and two pairs of earrings for less than $400! The girls have worn them every day since Christmas! Only complaint...they do not come in a nice box for gift giving. So keep that in mind if this is a special gift for someone. It would be nice of Overstock could offer a jewelery case to hold strand/earrings for an additional fee. Thanks O!

I have sensitive skin and other pearl earrings that were supposedly "real" were making my ears infected. So someone reccomended that I try this site and i'm so glad that I did! The earrings are very beautiful and the backings are 14K yellow gold so they are perfect if you have sensitive skin. I wear them every single day now and am going to order a few more in differenet sizes. The same exact earrings at a department store at the local mall were about $40 MORE then what they are on this site! Definitely try these if you are looking for great quality and beauty for a great price.

Finally, at age 60, I have my first set of real pearls. I bought these to match a necklace I also purchased at the same time from Overstock.com. My biggest disappointed was that the backings were so small. The backing size is something I would have expected for 5mm to 6mm pearl. Because of the small back, I was afraid the earrings would be too big and hang down from the lobe of my ear. That is not the case. They sit quite nicely and comfortably and do not hang down (droop) at all. Overall, I think it is a great value for the price and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Nice Pearls Tiny Backs (Riverbird, New York, 2008-06-02)
 
I was very pleased with the quality and size of the pearls - they're beautiful! The only complaint I have is with the backs, which are extremely tiny. These were the first earrings that I bought after getting my ears pierced, so not being used to the whole ordeal of changing earrings, I have had a terrible time with getting those little backs on those rather thin posts. I now have other earrings, with thicker posts and significantly larger backs, so I'm certain it wasn't just me.

I recently lost one of my pearl earrings that were given to me by my mother and decided I would need to buy a new pair. I perused the web looking for quality pearls at a good price. Overstock had the best selection and prices. I was a bit concerned because the price seemed low for 14 Ktpearl studs but when I received them all my worries disappeard. They are well made, look expensive and are the perfect size. The luster is beautiful and brightens my face. Thank you!!
