Still a work in progress (kprib, Alexandria, VA, 2008-06-02)

Great looking coffee maker and concept is wonderful. However, the design of the grinder flow chute wasn't well thought out. the chute does not flow cleanly into the basket and then the moisture from the brewing process causes grounds to collect in the chute much more quickly than the company anticipated. While there is a warning about cleaning out the chute after "approximately one or two weeks of use", heavy use appears to need it much more often, i.e., every third day or so. Other than that rather large design flaw, the coffee is great as always from Cuisinart makers. The thermos pot is a great feature for keeping the coffee hot without continous cooking. However, the pouring spout leaves much to be desired. Decanting is very slow and once the pot is half empty, an almost total upside down position is needed to get the coffee out. With the dribble flow, that is an awkward position to be in over someone's coffee cup. I just wonder how many of the designers are true coffee drinkers because these problems would be long gone if they were or had to make their own coffee.

Looks can be deceiving! (ghostleg, Jacksonville, Florida, 2008-07-10)

We had high hopes for this good looking and expensive coffee maker...the first pot brewed was declared the best coffee ever, and it's been down hill since...My fiance doesn't like that the grinder can't be adjusted to grind finer...we have ended up grinding our own...a couple of times, only water brewed through...we had to toally dismantle and clean the whole contraption, and haven't wanted to fool with it since...will probably send it back when I get the time...it looks great and the carafe does a great job of keeping the coffee hot, but it seems really unreliable...dissapointed, we have the Cuisinart juicer, rice cooker and they are great...

Great pot, great buy (CN2MYIZ, Gloucester, Virginia, 2008-01-25)

I have this coffee pot set to start it's cycle fifteen minutes before I get up. It grinds the coffee at that time. The noise sometimes wakes me up but oftern as not does not wake me up. I am getting used to the sound and am not noticing the noise as often. It makes a great pot of coffee. The measure seems to be accurate for quantity of coffee. It is very easy to clean. All of the components that come in contact with wet coffee grounds come out as a unit and seperate for easy cleaning and re-instillation. This replaced another more expensive unit. I wish that I had bought this coffee pot much sooner.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!! (8Lucy, Virginia, 2008-06-12)

I purchased this coffee maker expecting A great product. Instead there were several mornings I woke up to a pot of hot water. The shute that carries the coffee from the grinder to the basket backs up. The manual said to cean it every couple of weeks, however it seemed to back up after only 1 or 2 uses. the grinds would clog the shute and not even allow the grinding wheel to turn. I was very dissapointed.

strong coffee (snoozin, Heber City, Utah, 2008-01-21)

difficult to regulate, operate. mild to medium coffee seems impossible. need to contact cuisinart. Excellent company, don't anticipate problems, just a hassle.
