Rocks in more way than one. (NotFit, , 2008-01-26)

I thought it would be prudent to give some advice to people about this machine. While I recommend it, it is a bit tricky to put together. I recommend laying all the parts out including the smaller parts in a tray and group like parts together, some parts look alike but ARE different. With my machine I assumed I had a broken part (the tension control wire) so I called the company (expecting to be an hold or get the runaround) but that wasn't the case, someone answered on the first ring, and immediately offered to send out the part I needed. When I got the part I realized the my part was not broken, but the bolt was too tight around the upside down L shape of the tension control wire. I could loosen the bolt underneath and then slip in the other tension wire. This is important, because it does control the effectiveness of your resistance--if you make that bolt to loose on the L shape the tension will be lax, if it's too tight you won't be able to get together. Make sure to turn the tension control to one, loosen the L all the way down and then put together and then try to tighten it back up some. As for the product, it does rock back and forth and does require some retightening, but this is small price to pay for it's price and it's relatively small and sleek size. Both my girl friend and I have been using it daily several times a day and we are different sizes and both of us feel the machine serves us well. This is a good product that was thoughtfully designed, even the manual is far to hastily written. With a better manual and perhaps some shock stabalizers for the rocking so the bolts don't loosen this would be a 5 product. I recommend this for people with not tons of time space or money.

reviews i read before buying this machine were definitely helpful and accurate. It is a good deal for the cheap price, and while it's not the best machine in the world, it gets the job done. Laying out all the pieces before attempting to put it together was a big help, but it still took about 2 hours to put together. A couple washers and screws didn't fit together perfectly so they make a noise when I'm working out, but they stay in place. The difference between the highest resistance and the lowest resistance isn't especially great, and the resistance just doesn't go that high. But it's a great work out still and gets the job done! I'm definitely glad I got this machine and still think it was worth the amount that I paid for it.

As for looks, sexy and it dosen't take up alot of space. As for durability, it rocks slightly from side to side but not to the point it feels like your're going to fall. You can get a good rythim hearing the mechanical parts work together as you work out. The resistance level does increase but you can't really tell once you start. You can still get a great work out and feel the burn if you be consistent. It will get the job done. So its not like you won't get results, you will.

Good Value (MInnasMom, San Diego, CA, 2008-02-24)

I am pleased with the overall quality with the product for the price. Had a few challenges putting it together, but with the help of my husband, had it assembled in a couple of hours. It's small & lightweight enough, I can push it in the corner when I'm done & pull it closer to the TV when I want to use it. Does make some noise & isn't as steady as a heavier piece of equipment, but can't beat the price.

what you get for the price (Jarae, Auburn, IN, 2008-04-10)

The elliptical is nice and smooth but it takes a little getting use to because it is wobbly. When I received it the computer part of it did not work so I contacted Overstock and a couple weeks later they sent me one in the mail and now it works fine. It is easy to use and read. Its not the nicest but it does the job for what little money you pay for it. If you want something nicer you just have to pay more.
