Not the way I remember Colors smelling (girlnblack77, Triangle, NC, 2008-08-24)

To be fair, the last time I smelled Colors was over fifteen years ago. It may be my memory or they may have altered the formula a bit, but it just doesn't smell the same way I recall. That being said, the product is presented beautifully, the sprayer provides a fine mist so you don't have to douse yourself with it, and it becomes a softer and more pleasant smell after the first hour. Everyone's body chemistry changes perfume, I'm told, and with cheap perfume my chemistry can make it smell like bad bourbon; the point being that *this* has the right amount of oil or whatever so the initial spiciness fades and becomes a sweet fragrance with an undertone of powder and spice. The only reason I would not recommend it to a friend is that it conflicts with my memory of the perfume (so it may with theirs), but if someone took a whiff and wanted to know where I got it, I would recommend the product. Be aware that two full squirts will be powerful, but *will* fade as the day progresses; totally not overbearing after the first hour (didn't just poll my nose but those of my sometimes too-honest coworkers)...

I used this perfume a few years back and I always enjoyed it, but until I purchased this recent bottle I had forgotten how clean smelling and up lifting it is, is a good perfume to have on hand, it can perk up your spirits!! very happy with Colors.

I bought this perfume because the reviews said that it had a soft scent. Not hardly! It is very heavy and overpowering. The bottle is pretty, and you get a lot of perfume for the price--just more to throw away.

Very strong scent, that just didn't smell the way I remembered it. Plus I broke out in a rash on my arms and neck where I sprayed it.
