belt clip knob is removable (bismarcko, Chicago, IL, 2008-08-30)

I thought I would like the belt clip knob to keep my phone from slipping out of my butterfingers (the belt clip itself seems silly--who would use that?), but it soon became a nuisance. I was able to remove it, however. It unscrews if you remove the cover (I used pliers to get a good grip). In taking the case off the phone, I noticed that one of the corners already had a piece cracked off (after 3-4 weeks of use). I guess that means it's doing its job of protecting the phone.
