Don't expect more than your money's worth (hms1234, Dallas, TX, 2008-06-09)

First, the positives: I was thrilled to find this at such a great price! It arrived faster than I thought possible - overstock is always fantastic in that regard. Negatives: Yes it was fairly easy to assemble, but with glitches. Screwholes were not quite lined up with screws; I had to manhandle a bolt into one of the bottom shoe supports, as the nut was crooked. When inserting the top jacket hanger, I had to bang it in with a hammer (with towel for padding), and it still isn't straight. It leans backwards slightly. The tie rack is crooked; hard to explain, but with the angle it was cut along with the predrilled screw holes, it doesn't quite look right. Overall, this is a great value for your money, but it is by no means a $200+ valet. If disassembly, packing and shipping weren't such a pain, I'd be returning this. Hope my husband doesn't mind its shortfalls! Buy this only if you're ok with an item that doesn't really stand up to close scrutiny. I still love overstock, but won't be purchasing any discount assembly-required furniture from them again!

great fathers day gift (FLOWERGIFT, az, 2008-06-04)

I purchased this clothes valet stand, after searching all over the city where i live for one, but couldn't find any in my price budget..... I was trying so hard to locate one for my husband has always wanted one, and now is just hte perfect time to buy for him since Fathers day is coming up, anyways I was searching on Overstock.com and found this beautiful looking valet stand..... I placed the order with them. After 2 days this order arrived, it arrived even before the expected delivery date. I waited my husband to come home from work, once he came home i handed him over this new package.... He opened it and was thrilled what came out of the box, he was so grateful, we assembled it that night and placed it in our room, the color is magnificent it matches our furniture perfectly, the quality of it is great.... and the main thing is that it serves the purpose for what it is.... Thank you overstock!!!

Take a Stand! (pinkybrooke, Atlanta, GA, 2008-01-14)

This clothes valet is something I had wanted to get my husband for a very long time. Since it was Christmas I decided that was a good excuse! When I went locally here in the Atlanta area to purchase one they could not be found! I relied on Overstock to come thru and you did with flying colors, I LOVED the free shipping! Awesome experience overall and I will be back! The valet is very efficient, it holds change, belts, sports coat, pants and shoes at the bottom! My husband has a very stressful job so this is the first part of his unwinding when he gets home and changes clothes immeadiately. When he used to just throw his clothes on the bed his wallet would fall out and he would become frustrated. Now it is all in one place! This would also make great graduation or Father's Day gifts! (*The quality of the whole thing is wonderful!) Thanks for selling such a great product!!

Very nice! (Ara9, Houston, TX, 2008-07-09)

I bought this as gift for someone. I thought it may be a little strange as a birthday present, but he loves it! With all the money he has invested in his suits and shoes, all the trouble he has keeping up with his wallet and other little items, it has really worked out well. Not to mention, it has freed my dining room chair of the jackets! I am not tripping over a shoe or being asked, "Have you seen my...?". It is well constructed and was very easy to assemble. It only took me about 10 minutes, counting the time it took getting out of the shipping carton and making sure I had all the pieces. This is a great item. Although they are traditionally for men's suits, I have been considering getting myself one as well. After all, didn't I pay just as much (or more ) for my suits?

Nice looking and functional Valet (Undershopper, NY, NY, 2008-01-04)

I purchased the valet as a gift and assembled it myself... It is a nice looking wood valet with all of the necessary storage areas. ie; Tie hooks, hanger for a coat or jacket, wallet/keys tray, etc. It was quite easy to put together, I did it in about 30 minutes with only a phillips screwdriver (for one screw), a hammer (to lightly tap in some of the metal parts) and the Allen wrench (which comes with the valet to attach the sides to the support bars). The individual pieces themselves look of pretty cheap quality, but the assembled the unit looks quite nice. It is fairly sturdy and won't tip over when clothes are hung on it. If you are looking for a nice looking, fairly priced valet (mine was around $70 dollars) then this is a good choice.
