Much better than the $30 ones.... (SweetCee, Thornton, CO, 2008-03-09)

I wasn't about to pay this much for a straightener until I got glowing testimonials from friends. I gotta say that this product lived up to the hype. My 1" Chi works better than the 3" low-cost brand with comb attachment I used for years, though not too dramatically better as a price comparison. What is nice, though, is that with my naturally very curly hair, it normally doesn't look quite right until the second day, but with the Chi, My hair is shiny and fab on day one, with less time spent on it than before. The shape of the iron lends to the gentle curls I prefer without the additional use of a curling iron. As usual, an prompt delivery from Overstock....the only issue I have is that I'd have preferred a 2" or 3" iron....I may be a bit obtuse, but I didn't see where the option existed to get the different size even though it was pictured on the page I ordered from.

I purchased the Chi because I have been through about 3 straighteners in about 2 years. I received it 2nd day air, used it once then it broke. I called customer service who were very helpful. They agreed to send me a new one. I would have prefered to have received it for overnight night delivery since it was with in the first 2 days of receiving it since I paid for 2nd day shipping. Overall I am happy with my Chi.

Works Like a Charm (VC78, Sunrise, FL, 2008-01-15)

I've used other flat irons before but never one that works as well as this. It gets really hot and I usually only have to run the iron over my hair once. You would think that it getting so hot and putting it on my hair would cause damage, it hasn't yet. For someone who has super duper curly hair and lives in FL with massive amounts of humidity, it's a blessing in disguise.

Great Flat Iron (Alistephens, Bakersfield, CA, 2008-01-27)

This is my second chi that I own and I absolutely love it. The suede red part on the outside doesn't heat up so you don't have to worry about burns while you are using it like the other ones. Lots of heat settings so you don't have to have to use it on the highest one all the time. Overall a great product and I highly recommend it.

Great Flat Iron (mj27265, Greensboro, NC, 2008-03-11)

I previously had a Rusk flat iron and it worked great for four years. However, it was time for a new one so I purchase this CHI on overstock.com. It was by far the best price I could find. The iron works even better than the Rusk! I have wavy frizzy hair and live in humid NC so I need an iron that straightens well!
