Great for the dark, maximizes nightstand space (LovesModern, Seattle WA, 2008-01-31)

I was looking for a set of lamps for our nightstands in the master bedroom. Our nightstands are not that big. The narrow "banana shaped" shade means that you can push the lamp towards the back of the nightstand and have a lot of real estate left on the nightstand. I also wanted a lamp that I could turn on easily in the dark. I have bad eyesight so I wanted no more fumbling for the switch and knocking my glasses off the nightstand. WIth the touch feature, this is sooo easy. The lamps are substantial enough in weight with an extra heavy base with felted bottom that you are not going to push the lamp over when turning it on/off. They do put out a lot of light but for a king bed it may not work quite as well as I originally thought for reading since the bed is so wide! I'll be getting some wall mounted spot lights to supplement. The lamps themselves should be fine for a queen, though. Enough about functionality, did I also mention that they are so stylish and modern! Even after having them for a month my eye still goes right to the every time I come into the bedroom. I saw similar nightstands without the touch feature that were so much more expensive. I could not be any happier with these!

Perfect for Office Desk (MAK4, FL, 2008-02-08)

This lamp was exactly what I was looking for and needed on my home office desk. The fact that it has three lighting levels and is operated by touch makes it a perfect light for all my lighting needs. If I am just running in and out of the office or want to leave a lamp on while I'm out, I put it on low, but the high setting is plenty to read by. It is a very thin lamp - other reviews have done a good job of describing the shade like a banana - it's very thin, but it is very sturdy and solid. Assemply consists of screwing in the two bulbs that come with it and then fastening the shade with a round bolt and plugging it in.

Great Lamps (ciaramk, Idyllwild, CA, 2008-04-29)

We ordered these lamps after seeing something similar in a hotel room! The lamps are perfect -- not too big for our night stands, but with three levels of light that are easily accessed by touch sensors in the base. The lowest level of light provides sufficient illumination without waking a sleeping partner, while the brightest level is excellent for reading. The brushed steel base is very stable, and the glass shade is very attractive. We are really pleased with our purchase and would recommend this product to others.

An Excellent Value (chetdajet, San Jose, Ca., 2008-03-27)

The lamp is a beautiful, modern, and banana shaped. It is weighted so it feels substantial. To turn on the lamp the user touches the metal of the lamp Therefore, if you use a switch on a wall to turn the lamp on as you walk in a dark room, it is not possible. It is brushed metal. However, the base has a shiny metal trim. One of my lamps had minor scratches on the shiny metal. Assembly is very simple.

Bedside lamps (cleoshi, Tucson, AZ, 2008-01-09)

These guys are pretty heavy and substancial. I bought two to use as bedside lamps. They come in handy in the middle of the night when I have to wake to feed the baby. One lamp appeared to be slightly misaligned with the base. I was able to straighten it out eventually. This was my only complaint. Over all they were a great buy and match my Axium bedroom set (also purched on Overstock) perfectly.
