Better than I expected (Kimberly99, Long Island, NY, 2008-02-16)

I received this chair very quickly after ordering it and I was pleasantly surprised. After reading other reviews I was concerned about the assembly and about the supposed lack of ability to recline the chair. It was easy to assemble, I did it myself. All the parts fit where the were supposed to and I didn't need any power tools. I did, however, realize after I was done that I had put the metal bracket (which has the adjustment mechanisms) on backwards. The diagram is misleading and I didn't notice that the bracket actually indicates on it which way is "front". With the bracket on backwards the seat was in a stiff upright position. Once I reversed the position of the bracket the adjustments worked perfectly and the chair reclines perfectly. I used a hammer to knock in the screw hole plugs. As I only just got the chair, it remains to be seen whether they will stay put. They seem to be in there snuggly. Great looking and comfortable chair at a great price. Buy it.

Absolutely lovely chair (sommeil, Albuquerque, NM, 2008-01-09)

I bought this chair because it had high ratings but was a little worried about the previous reviews stating that the assembly was difficult and that the chair seemed as if it was pushing you out of it. The chair arrived in a timely manner. It was fairly easy to assemble and I did it alone as my husband was away on business. Getting the arms to screw into the back and seat was a little complicated and I wasn't sure how it would go together but I figured it out and was able to get it together. The chair does feel a little bit like it's pushing you out of it at first. You are positioned completely upright (id est, you can't lean back and slouch in it). However, when working at a computer or desk for a long time this is exactly the position you need to be in. This chair is comfy and offers lumbar support. The only reason I didn't give the chair 5 stars is because I haven't owned it long enough to be 100% sure that it is excellent but so far so good.

Great Value on a Fabulous Chair (Jenn0420, Michigan, 2008-03-03)

I bought this chair as a gift for my 86 year old Grandfather for him to use while sewing. I should mention that this chair is situated on linoleum and the last thing we want is for it to be sliding around on him. We were very pleased that it is very safe for him and very comfortable. The chair itself is very sturdy and the black leather looks very sleek. I was very much impressed by the price of this chair too. I have easily seen them at other stores for 2-3x as much. Thanks Overstock!!

Not worth the money (Minnesotaworker, Minnesota, 2008-03-03)

I purchased this chair because it had great reviews, but was very disappointed. It had no lumbar support. The arms do not move, so if you are tall, forget it. Putting it together wasn't hard, but taking it apart to send it back proved a bit challenging. I give 10 stars to Overstock.Com for ease in returning this chair. I've already revieved notice that the chair was recieved and my account will be credited. I've ordered a different chair and am hoping I will like that one better.

Boss Leather Ergonomic Executive Office Chair (Eliz234, West Virginia, 2008-01-16)

We ordered two of these chairs for our home office. They only required a few minutes to install. The chairs are being used comfortably by people from petite to large sizes. The chairs seem to be quite sturdy. The only detraction is that one of the plugs which hide screws was not tight enough. After it fell out a few times, I wrapped a little tape around the insert section and it hasn't fallen out again. The leather has a good appearance and is certainly easy to maintain.
