Looks great but a tricky assembly (KHarvell, Festus, Mo, 2008-01-14)

This was purchased as a Christmas gift and overall we have been pleased with it. It looks wonderful in our dining area in our kitchen where it is located. The only problems that I have with it are: 1. The drawer design could use a little more support because it feels a little iffy. I do not see putting much more than a notebook, calculator and pens or pencils in it. There just does not seem to be much support on the bottom and no guides on the sides of the drawer itself. 2. There are two pieces that help connect the legs together that have screws that need to have holes predrilled into the connecting piece. It just also seems to be very tight space to work in when finishing assembly. 3. You will need a mouse pad if you plan to use a laser mouse with your laptop on this table. Due to the finish, the laser does not respond to movement on the tabletop. No big deal really as it will save the finish anyway. Overall, I would recommend this to someone that is looking for something like this. It works wonderful for our notebook computer that we use it for.

Assembly Pieces Missing (RFore, Basalt, CO, 2008-03-05)

It looks good, but it does not function very good. I had to remove some items from the only drawer it has because it is not styaing on the one track that it is supposed to stay on. But other then that, my biggest complaint is that the sealed bag full of screws, nuts, pegs, etc. was not even close to having what the sheet of instructions said it was supposed to come with. It was not like the bag had been opened and some of those things removed, it was actually sealed having not enough assembly pieces in it. ??? The only reason I was able to complete the desk was becasue I had some parts that I could use in those missing pieces place.

Good value (dbnyc, New York, NY, 2008-01-29)

Does a great job in corners and offers a good work space as well as a decent drawer. As with other products I've ordered here, the packaging doesn't do a good job of protecting the product and the parts came splintered and nicked. Luckily, no major damage - just cosmetic. Since it's black, I just used a little black marker to get rid of them. Also, it can be assemled alone - but would help to have someone else there.

Solid wood corner desk (tfrosty, Alexandria, VA, 2008-01-31)

This desk is not worth a wooden nickel. It arrived damaged. I had to glue parts back together, which, after the desk was assembled fell apart again. It was fairly easy to put together. It's very nice looking if all you are going to do is look at it. The drawer fell apart when we used it. The shelf fell off when we used it. So don't waste your money. Buy something better.

Desk Review (JT8205, Fruitland, Iowa, 2008-01-29)

Loved the desk and it fit perfect for what we wanted. However, we were disappointed in the quaity of the workmanship. My husband is going to have to sand it down and repaint it this spring as the exterior is very splotchy and it just doesn't look nice. We are not picky people by any means but were surprised at how shabby it looked. A piece of one leg even chipped off.
