Another One Damaged in Shipping - O'Stock HELPFUL (overstocker223, New Orleans, LA, 2008-07-23)

As soon as I ordered this table, a review had popped up that the item was damaged in shipping. Overstock gave me a refund for this product because when it arrived today, mine had also been damaged in shipping. The corner of the box that held the table had been busted open and the tabletop was ripped. It looked to be a fairly cheaply made table, as well. Overstock, fortunately, was excellent and issued me a refund. I shop on Overstock a lot, and this is the first product that had ever presented any problems. Since the customer service rep was so helpful, I will shop on overstock.com again.

I ordered this table, and it came damaged. Overstock took care of the problem, and sent out another table, which arrived even more damaged than the first one. Overstock gave me credit for both items. If the table wasn't damaged, the holes in the chairs were drilled crooked so the chair never really looked how it should, and the table top is plastic not laminate. I'm sure the table would be fine as decoration online, not as a functional unit. I understand now why quality retro tables cost about 800 to 1200 dollars. But Overstock.com's customer service was outstanding.

Retro dinette set (retrogirl1962, Morris IL, 2008-07-16)

I was not impressed with this set at all. The boxes came damaged. The table top had scrapes on it due to the box. The holes in the chairs seats and backs did not match up with the frame. The chair frame it self was not very sturdy. Do not buy this set.

Birmingham Table (tbmaz, Arizona, 2008-03-26)

It's good for the price...I like the style and it goes well in my kitchen. It took a long time to put together, so be sure you like it well enough before you buy it.
