night stands (lotzostuff, St. Louis, MO, 2008-02-09)

we use them for nightstands. The drawers are a little shallower than we thought. The top drawer is good for chap stick, thin books -not able to stack them on top of each other-, or pacifiers (we have little ones who intrude on occasion). I love being able to stack my bigger books, magazines or grocery lists under the glass, and still have the top for a glass of water and my glasses and a lamp. It took my engineer husband and i less than 45 min/table to assemble. they look good and are very strong. They are glass though, and i get nervous when my 3 and 1 year old are on the bed. Over all, we've shoped for 4 years at dozens of stores, with a very open mind in what we wanted. These fit the bill perfectly and were reasonable. THe drawers don't slide as well as i would like, but they do open and close. :)

I loved this furniture (CMommy, Cincinnati, OH, 2008-02-25)

This came well packed in styrofoam so that no pieces were blemished, and they were all labeled. The hardware was all separated and labeled. I have built a lot of furniture and this was by far the easiest...clear instructions and only a screwdriver and rubber mallet was needed. My husband was impressed with how fast I finished it, which after unpacking was about an hour. Hard, solid wood with no veneer. Bottom inserts for drawers hard and sturdy as well - I don't feel as though they will warp or break. Once assembled an impressive piece that my family complimented us on. A lot of trash to clean up after due to all of the sheets foam packing, but my kids had fun karate-chopping it up.

Love my tables.... (kerin, Asheville via LA, 2008-01-18)

We bought these tables: 2 end tables, coffee & console for our new home. We hoped the picture was true to life. well let me tell you, we are so very pleased. The quality of this product is great! just as good, if not better (because of cost) than any mid to high range furniture store. We over shopped @ other stores in all kinds of price ranges, but came back to OverStock. the deliverly was great, shipping for a $1, wow! No sales tax. When we bought them I thought why not, after all it wold cost $50-100 to get delivery from a furniture store so why not try. I bet it wouldn't even cost that much to send them back. Love them, Love my Husband & Daughter, who put them together!

Other than the fact that this entire Halifax line is labor-intensive to assemble, and the directions could be a bit better, the finished product is truly beautiful and looks quite expensive - like it was purchased in a nice furniture store. The color is a deep, rich espresso finish and the glass top is practical, preventing those milky white rings you can get if you sit something damp on the top. The items seem to be very well packaged, preventing possilbe damage to the contents, unless it would be dropped or thrown. If you have the patience and the time, this is a great table!

You're Going to Love it! (Blynne, Cleveland, OH, 2008-01-13)

Great packaging that survived the Christmas shipping bumps and bruises. The table went together logically and easily and looks GREAT! The deeper lower drawer holds a lot and the shelf under the glass top keeps your table top looking clear and uncluttered without blocking the magazines beneath. One comment; both of my drawers have an odd "catch" in them when using them. It doesn't cause any problem, but the drawers don't slide as smoothly as anticipated. Not sure if it's something I did or just inherent in the product but it doesn't detract from this great table!
