| Not so great Akoya cultured pearl earrings

| I was quite disappointed with the quality of the earrings for several reasons:
1. The color is pink and not white (not stated in the description of the product).
2. There are significant imperfections on the surface of each pearl - like a little bubble that broke open. The store advertisement states that they are AA quality and they are not.
3. The butterflies, that should hold earrings in place, are very small and they cannot hold them. The earrings are constantly sliding away from them and they look, most of the time, like they are going to fall out. Indeed, this really happened and I lost one earring while running errands outside of the house.
Although they were inexpensive, I would not have gotten them if I saw them in a store for the same price.
As for the Overstock, the company handled the order very well although it took a while to get it in California. |

| Well I've purchased other items here from Overstock but this is my first review, and I gotta tell ya I've really been satisfied with their products.
This latest gift was for my wife. I had purchased a strand of pearls before and they were a big hit. She "slightly" hinted about a matching set of earrings and for the size, texture, color, and quality, she really, really liked them. - As a side note, it was a salesperson at a Jewely store who told me to get them here at Overstock. Same or better quality at a lower price. That where she buys hers.

| I was actually pleasantly surprised by the earrings. They are a good size and have a lovely glow. They make a perfect daytime pearl earring. They are lightly blemished - however, the flaws are invisible to most people as they are in the back of the earring. I hope the backing lasts, as it looks a little flimsy. Overall, great value, and I'm very pleased. |

| I bought a pair of these, had them for a few weeks and loved them!......lost one and bought another pair..........in less than a month, the post was detached from one....they're very pretty but poor workmanship.
I was also very disappointed in the packaging. Ive bought jewelery from overstock before and it always come beautifully packaged..not this one |

| I heard of overstock.com on the local radio station and thought that I'd try it out. I purchased 3 sets of pearl earrings for my bridesmaids. When I receieved them they were in horrible shape. There were scratches and dents all over the pearls. I am too embarrassed to give them as gifts. This was a horrible experience for me. |
