Centerpiece (welshdra, Southeastern Mass., 2008-03-29)

I ordered this unusual piece and it arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Assembly was a breeze, however the holes in the back to screw the bolts into were neither straight or level. This caused some minor difficulty trying to align the wall hangers. I also had to place the wall anchor a couple of inches below the level line on one side to mount the sculpture evenly. That aside, this is a beautiful piece that has received complements from everyone who sees it. The colors will seem to change depending on the type of light you use to illuminate it. At first, I used halogen spots to highlight it. This lighting gave it a muted tone, but a 3 dimensional effect as the shadows of the frame took on the same color as the frame. I am now using a full spectrum Ultralux light in the room and the colors are beautifully vivid and seem to jump off the wall. I am very pleased with this purchase and Overstock.

Very Pleased! (pperkins, Omaha, NE, 2008-03-31)

Ordered this ang a couple of other pieces a little over a week ago - two because I couldn't make up my mind, and this on just because I loved the look. I had them in 3-4 days, and couldn't wait to hang them this weekend, - I am so pleased I'm keeping all three!! While I wasn't sure exactly where I was going to hang this one, I have since decided it's the perfect transition piece for the hallway. Doing my rooms in different color schemes, all of the colors in this piece really pulls things all together. It's a heavy, solid piece that really appears far more expensive than it was. Some of the painting/enamel work could have been a little bit tidier in my opinion, but nothing that isn't fixable or a deterrent for me. Since it sticks out about 3" or so from the wall, the shadowing effect is great! I would recommend this piece -- I think you'd be impressed and pleased when you see it in person!

The product came on time and was well-packaged. The picture did the art work justice. The only difficulty we had when we installed it was how the metal pieces that attach to the wall weren't placed at a range where two studs in the wall could be used. One other noted imperfection that we noticed after it was hanging for sometime, was there are two areas in which the artist leaves the polygon shapes open without a wire piece that completely frames the polygon. There are two open polygon pieces that are that way when the entire piece has framing wire that intersects each polygon to make it appear closed. We're consider using a dreml tool just to cut away the piece that sticks out without the framing wire because it looks odd. Other than that, it's well worth the price and is a nice addition to my bedroom.

Pleased Purchaser (Ganzy, North Little Rock, AR, 2008-03-25)

I read the reviews before I purchased the wall art which helped me to make my decision. Once received, I too thought the colors were more vivid in the picture but the review prepared me for it. I used the cardboard that the art was fastened to as a template. I measured the distance between the two hangers and the distance from the ceiling down to where I wanted the artwork to hang, marked it on the cardboard, cut a circle out of the cardboard where the hole is to be. I then placed the cardboard on the wall, marked the spots on the wall and made the holes. With the template, it was so easy to place. I placed three of them (wall arts) on a large accent wall and they were evenly placed and look so nice.

Looks exactly as expected (not exactly as photo) (KandP, , 2008-04-01)

Older reviews stating that the colors weren't as vivid as the photograph prepared me for how this piece would look. The picture was apparently taken with flash or some other extra-bright lighting. The colors on this piece are muted (in fact we are thinking of spray painting the reds). The art looks very good on our wall. It is well constructed. The color pieces are small pieces of metal (?) attached to the dark frame. The whole piece stands about 3" from the wall. This is best suited for a space where you can provide a spot light on the piece and not for a low-light space. It looks very good above our fireplace and has garnered several compliments. It was very easy to assemble and put up.
