Awsome Value (Nemo4, Oregon, 2009-06-18)

I've been using them for about 4 months now, and love them. These are great phones, and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a simple cordless phone! They have fairly basic features, so don't expect anything to fancy for this cheap. They sound crystal clear and are nice and loud. I can enter names and numbers in the built in phonebook from any handset and it will automatically transmit to all the others! If one handset is in use, the others will say on the screen that the line is in use. Which is nice so you don't interrupt somebody's call on the other side of the house. Range is awesome!! I live on over an acre and I was able to make a crystal clear call from the other side of the property, about 200 feet away! I don't have caller ID service, so I can't comment on those features. The intercom feature between phones is cool in a large house. The answering machine is quite basic. It only tells the day of the week a call was, not the date. It is able to answer on the 4th or 6th ring, giving you extra time to dig in the couch to find the phone. The batteries are great! I have been able to leave it off the cradle for several days with occasional use and the batteries were still fine. I haven't had one die on me yet. Also, since they are NiMH you can charge it at anytime. ----====Cons: I can't listen to my messages on the answering machine from the handsets... There is no clock on the handsets without having caller ID service... And last of all, the battery indicator leaves something to be desired, it only tells when the battery is low, and if it is connected to the charge base. It won't tell you if it is done charging, or how much is left. No big deal if you just leave it in the charge cradle like I do (handsets don't get lost that way). ----====Comments on the other reviewers: -oaklandraidersfan- Power supply hums?? What?!? All four of mine are fine.--Gerogiapeach68- Did you register the other three phones with the base station like the instructions said? Only the primary handset is registered by default. Also, yes they do take an absurd amount of time to charge the first time, something like 15 hours! They are NiMH, but they don't have any charge right out of the box.

I ordered the product and could not wait until it arrived. I charged the phones the required length of time and NONE OF THE HANDSETS WORKED!!!! ONE OF THEM WOULDN'T CHARGE AT ALL!!! I am so disapointed!!!

Good Value (WebJr, Los Angeles, CA, 2009-05-02)

Have used for two months. No issues with handsets or base. Looks good and cannot tell that the equip is refurb. Hard to beat for a little more than 40 bucks.
