1 Gig MP3 Player, FM Tuner, Voice Recorder (Luvsdsea, West TX, 2007-12-03)

For what little money I paid for this product, I'm quite impressed. I didn't know anything at all about MP3 players when I purchased this. For that reason, it took me several hours to figure out how to get my music into it so that I could use it. Eve... (more)ntually, I found information on a search string that helped me out. You have to rip the music off a CD, put it into your computer, then on the MP3 Player-- even songs you purchased previously to download from the on line music merchants. The FM Tuner is great. I had no problem following the directions and finding all my favorite radio stations right away. I haven't used to voice recorder and don't know that I ever will but I have absolutely no doubt that it will work as well as the rest. The sound quality seems fine. With one damaged eardrum and a considerable hearing loss, it is probably not all that important to me but it sounds as good to me as the expensive Dolby sound system in one of our cars of that tells you anything. You can adjust things if you know how to or have a desire to. I'm not overjoyed with the ear buds but then, I'm not overjoyed with any earbuds. I have little ears and they are all uncomfortable to me. I may order a pair of headphones one of these days. But there is nothing wrong with the earbuds that I can see by comparison to other similar devices. You can plug the player into the computer with the cord so you can see what's going on when you transfer music or you can plug it directly into the computer like a flash drive. I liked that I could choose a color so that mine doesn't look just exactly like everyone else's but that is just one of my personal idiosyncracies. One thing that really surprised me was the I received this in the mail in just three days. As usual, Overstock has outdone themselves in the customer service department. The only thing I did not like was that most of my songs are assigned track numbers so if I don't load them all in at once, previous data is erased. I can't seem to rename the tracks with song names once they are in there. That may just be my lack of knowledge, by the way, but it was the only issue I ran into that bothers me. The songs that were ripped from regular CD's and put into my computer originally went right in. It was the songs I bought on line one at a time so I could have the music mix I wanted were the ones that wound up assigned track numbers. If you want a nice little MP3 player that you can load enough songs into to walk for a couple hours (more if you want more songs) this is a great buy and I recommend it highly. I bought mine as an exercise tool/companion and I think I made a really good deal.
