Random Stringing (Topline2, South Carolina, 2008-06-09)

I bought these for a gift for a young teenage girl for a special occasion. I was excited to be able to buy her pearls to mark this event but was disappointed with the stringing. The pearls are a good size, all rather large. The clasp, which other reviewers had issue with, worked smoothly and with no problem. My problem with this product was the stringing. Usually when pearls, or any natural beads are strung, they are first layed out from smallest to largest and back. This is so the beads or pearls all will look to be of similar size when the necklace is complete. It seemed that the person or persons stringing the pearls just picked up any size pearl to add to the strand next. The effect empathsized the size differences and retracted from what could have been a beautiful necklace. Restringing might be an option. Also, as mentioned in previous reviews, the packaging leaves a lot to be desired.

Great pearl necklace on a budget (JLWatchReview, Clarksburg, MD, 2008-06-20)

This pearl necklace is worth every penny of it's price. The size of the pearls is just right, and all the pearls are very uniform in size/shape and color which is quite rare for freshwater pearls. A few pearls have a blemish here or there, but it's quite clean otherwise - you definitely can't tell when you wear the pearls. The necklace is very graceful as it hits right at the collar bone. Pearls have a nice weight. The luster isn't fabulous but definitely above average. Again, for the price, it's a rare find on Overstock. I'm sure a necklace of this quality would easily cost $200 or more from a retail jewelry store. Go ahead and buy this necklace as a standard and upgrade later to an akoya pearl necklace when you hit the next major milestone in life, have a bit more money, and want to treat yourself to something really special.

Another beauty! (BlackIrish, San Francisco, 2008-06-08)

I bought a 24-inch necklace, and loved it so much that I had to go back, buy another and add this 16-inch necklace. The color is beautifully white, they seem to glow, they have high lustre; there is nothing more to want from a pearl. I feel so special wearing them as it adds a look of instant luxury no matter how your are dressed. You cannot get the look of elegance a pearl imbues with anything but. I recommend this necklace without reservation. Actually, I wear it as a bracelet most of the time to match the longer necklaces. It looks gorgeous. Go ahead, buy it!

Packaging (PrCu, , 2008-06-01)

I wish the pearls had come in a nicer packaging! Even though they seemed ok in themselves, just the small, cheap little velvet-imitation bag they came in made them look very much like a cheap gift I would be embarrassed to give. I found a better way to package them...but it would have been so much nicer if the bag they came in had been a nice, proper bag. Otherwise, I don't really have a lot of experience with jewelry, especially pearls, but I guess they are ok...I'm not sure, just going on a lot of other reviews to help guide me.

Beautiful pearls!!! (kelsmom, Richmond, Virginia, 2008-01-03)

I ordered 3 strands of these pearls - for my daughter and 2 daughters-in-law. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when they arrived, I was THRILLED!!! The pearls were beautiful - perfectly matched, nice weight, lovely color - and the 14k gold clasp was solid and secure. The girls all three shrieked with joy when they opened them. They loved the 16" length. I am going to order 2 more for my granddaughters for when they are a bit older! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
