Disappointing at best - Save your $$ (Jennifer39, Brooklyn, 2008-03-26)

I had admired this ring for some time before purchasing. It looks beautiful in the pics here. In person, the stone is a lovely shade of blue . Beyond that, it is lightweight, the diamonds are nonexistant, the gold is thin & cheap and the stone fell out in 3 days!! The jeweler attempted to repair it & broke a prong, costing me an additional $30. I wore it 1 more time, and the stone came out again!! Now, it can't be repaired and I'm out over $130.00. I'm disgusted, to put it mildly. It's not even worth it to sell it for scrap gold! My advice - don't buy it!!

My fiance got this for me since it was our son's birthstone and its a beautiful stone but the ring is very lightweight. I havent worn it much because I am worried of losing the stone or putting "dents" in the ring itself because it is so lightweight. I took it to my jewler and he said it would cost more than what we paid for the ring to have more gold set into the ring. All in all, a nice piece of "costume" jewelery. Even though it is made of "real" gold, the craftsmanship would put this ring into my costume jewelery box.

I purchased this as my first Valentine gift. It was here well before the day and I was pleased with what I received. I gave the ring to my girl friend and she loved it. She told me that is was classy and modern in design. I agreed of course. She thought it was silver but I told her to look inside the band for the 14Ct etching and she was even more impressed. I am a little worried that the stone might come out but she works in a office so I don't think she will bang it to where it might get knocked out.

I read all other reviews before buying and am very pleased w/ the ring. It is very noticeable. All my coworkers noticed it right away. For the price you wouldn't be able to purchase a ring as nice anywhere else. This is about the fifth or sixth item that I've purchased from overstock and have been nothing but pleased each time. This ring is very stylish. It has a really unique setting that gives it a modern flair, but still looks classic. The stone is a very pretty blue color. My only complaint is that the stone is set ever so slightly off center (and I got two and both had the same issue). But it's such that no one would ever notice except me.
