Good Concept But Dropped The Ball (MissStanzel, Federal Way, WA, 2008-07-24)

So I thought this was such a great value until I opened the box. The railroad tracks don't sit evenly and if I glue them so that they work it will take up too much space and I won't have anywhere to store it. It is almost 4x3 feet total. Also the board that the track is pictured with does not come with the set so there is no roadway to drive the cars on. My 3 year old didn't understand so now I am on a mission to the craft store to see if I can make some type of board similar to the one pictured. If I don't secure the pieces together somehow the entire set will fall apart when played with. The "trains" are constantly coming derailed because they pieces won't sit evenly. I went to my local mom & pop toy store and they sell these sets and I was told unless I glue or secure these pieces together somehow actually using this set the way it is ment to be is a lost cause. So my suggestion to you all?? If you are looking for a quick buy don't get this one but if you have an artistic side and are willing to take the time and patience to rig it all together it might be a good buy for you (or buy a train table). Compared to other sets of similar size it is a great value. It is compatible with Brio train sets so pieces to add on and change the shape of the track are available at local chain stores. Good Luck With This One!!

Beautiful! (starnami, Camarillo, CA, 2008-04-23)

This 127 Piece Transportation City Train Set is absolutely beautiful. Each piece is hand crafted and hand painted, and it shows. We bought this because we wanted an in depth train track for my son who has many Thomas the Train trains, but we couldn't afford the actual branded tracks. This is a great price for the quality (which is again, beautiful!). I wouldn't recommend it for children who are still putting things in their mouth though, as my son is very rough and the helicopter fell into to parts (1 small, 1 bigger) but it was very easy to glue back together again.

Very nice set. (dotcomshop, Mississippi, 2008-01-04)

This is a very nice train set at a reasonable price. It includes an airport and a train station set-up, airplanes, a runway, cars, a boat, a helicopter, road signs, people and lots of trees. It does not include a train with multiple "cars", instead it has several tram-type vehicles, like what you ride in at the airport to travel between concourses. The set does work with Thomas and similar trains, as well. Note, the set does not include the playmat that you see in the photograph.

Too little Train (Shannon101, Olympia, WA, 2008-04-06)

I had been looking for a train set for some time befor I ordered this for my son. Over all it was an alright set, but was a little disappointing when I saw all the little pieces. The people were nice but there were like 30 trees and only 4 cars for the track. The track would only got together one way really and so it was hard to get creative. I ended up buying another set to go with it. I would spend the extra money and get what you really want if you can afford it.

Great set but where are the trains? (JReyes, Central Florida, 2008-01-21)

My son was super excited when I presented him with the easily-constructed transportation set. However, after 5 minutes of playing with the set, he noticed that there were no trains for the train station. There are what look like shuttle buses but no trains. The set itself is sturdy, easy to assemble and has many accessories that others do not include. (Hint: use hot glue or wood glue to keep the bridges from falling apart.) JR
