Story Behind the Art:

The bamboo is from the infamous Mt. HuangShan in China. Mt. HuangShan was inscribed to the 'World culture and natural heritage' llist in 1990. It is famous for its magnificent scenery made up of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of a sea of clouds. Local people use the locally grown bamboo and create various form of carving art and decoration and sell to the tourists coming from all over the world. Tourism is an important income source for people living in the area.
